Life, both at home and at your practice, can get messy. We, as chiropractors, are in the business of dealing one on one with people, a lot of people. Those of us who have spouses, children, or other family demands are often pulled in many directions at once in our everyday lives. How do we get through it? How do we be our very best for each person in our lives?
Being present, focusing on the person or the task in front of you until it is resolved, is a skill you need to possess if you want to break through times of change and growth. If you haven’t had to worry about this, you probably haven’t been growing as fast as you would like. If you have gone through chaotic growth spurts, prepare yourself, because you’re most likely going to have to face them again in the future. Take a deep breath, focus on what’s in front of you, and be present.
