We are proud to bring you the story of Dr. Roger Brady and Lexie Brady of “Optimal Life Chiropractic”, located in Oakdale, Minnesota! All of us in the AMPED community wish them the best of luck.
Q. What are your roles at the practice?
A. Dr. Roger is the Chiropractor and Lexie runs the operations.
Q. How long have you been open?
A. Just under 3 months.
Q. How many patients do you see per week?
A. About 110 and finally starting to increase as restrictions are slowly being lifted.
Q. What is your focus or specialty?
A. Dr. Roger uses Torque Release Technique, Webster, and some diversified. We hope to be a practice full of families and children.
Q. What would you like to tell us about your practice adventure?
A. Our opening process went incredibly smooth. Everything had gone about as perfectly as we could have hoped for – our build out was ahead of schedule, we had just hired our first team member, our first two weeks were already booked solid, and we were gearing up for a huge ribbon cutting. There weren’t any major hiccups until… COVID!
The stay at home order was announced on March 25th here in Minnesota and our ribbon cutting was supposed to be March 31st. Ultimately, our ribbon cutting was canceled along with all of our marketing events between March and July. Because of that, we ended up attending only 40% of the marketing events we originally had scheduled. We decided to open on April 6th anyway. In the first 3 weeks we ended up seeing only 30% of the pre-booked appointments. Since we didn’t have any marketing events, we used our time to master our systems and procedures. We knew we couldn’t drop the ball and risk losing anyone – especially since our ability to grow any time soon looked slim. It was worth it. Our close rate was near perfect, with loss of income being the only objection.
Because of the unique situation we were in, we were forced to think outside the box and be resilient. Though it’s not the opening we wanted, we are so grateful for AMPED. Because of what AMPED taught us and the help of friends and mentors from it, we can still consider our opening and first few weeks in practice a huge success!
Q. Where can we find out more about you?
Q. How has AMPED helped you?
A. In so many ways… but summed up: AMPED helped us know where to begin, and how to prepare AHEAD of time. More specifically, AMPED helped us gain the skills to effectively and efficiently communicate chiropractic and provided a great skeleton to guide us through opening our own practice and creating our day to day systems and procedures
Q. Do you have advice for fellow AMPED members?
A. Utilize the resources! Reach out to other AMPED members if you have questions, need help, or just want another perspective. No question or request is too small. Everyone we have ever met in this community has been more than willing to help us and share their knowledge.
Q. What would you say to anyone considering joining AMPED?
A. Do it, do it, do it! And then use it, use it, use it! Like everything, you get out what you put in. AMPED has countless resources but it’s your job to take full advantage of them.
