Discover Chiropractic in Stockbridge, Georgia, founded by Drs. Jeremy and Amanda Hess, is known as the “Birthplace” of the AMPED Chiropractic Movement. For over 20 years, Drs. Hess have maintained a high volume principled chiropractic practice that for over a decade averaged more than 1200+ visits per week. Currently their practice is still the largest chiropractic practice in Georgia with a continued emphasis on promoting the need for every child and adult to live free of subluxation and nerve interference.
With their experience and wisdom of serving the community for many years and managing a team of 10+ Chiropractic Assistants for more than 15 years, they both are a huge asset in the leadership of AMPED and its mission of creating critical mass in chiropractic through helping students open successful and thriving practices, via the AMPED Jumpstart program and helping elevate Chiropractic to its rightful place in healthcare.

My Chiropractic Story
After being injured during a cheerleading stunt one autumn afternoon, I went home with low back pain thinking everything would be fine. Hours later, when my mother returned from work, I was unable to walk and crawled to her in pain asking for help.
We rushed to Urgent Care, where the medical doctor said, “Amanda, you sprained your back. Here’s a shot to help you feel better, along with muscle relaxers, pain medication, and an anti-inflammatory.” Days later, I was able to walk again, but the pain remained severe. I couldn’t cheer or attend dance classes for an upcoming competition. Thankfully, my ballet instructor’s husband was a chiropractor, and my mother scheduled an appointment.
After taking specific chiropractic postural x-rays, I received my first precise chiropractic adjustment. Immediately, I felt relief. Through time and consistent care, my injury fully healed. At only 15 years old, I returned to dance and competed in the next event. I stopped all prescribed medications and learned firsthand the incredible healing power of the body when interference is removed.
After earning a degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina, where I interned on a research team studying bone marrow transplants at the Center for Cancer Treatments in Columbia, I realized my true calling wasn’t in the sickness-care model dominating modern medicine. I moved to Atlanta, enrolled at Life University, and earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Together with my husband, Dr. Jeremy Hess, we founded Discover Chiropractic in Stockbridge, Georgia. The practice has grown into one of the most impactful chiropractic offices in the nation, serving families and inspiring thousands through the message of Above Down Inside Out principled chiropractic care. Today, we are honored to co-lead the practice alongside Dr. Chandler Cook and Samantha Cook, continuing to serve our community with excellence, compassion, and purpose.

My Chiropractic Story
While playing collegiate soccer, I suffered a hip and groin injury that left me sidelined. Months of pain medication and muscle relaxers prescribed by the team doctor brought no improvement. Out of options, I followed a teammate’s advice and visited a local chiropractor.
Within a short time, my hip and groin pain were gone. After six months of corrective chiropractic care, I no longer needed my asthma inhaler, and a recurring bacterial infection in my right eye completely disappeared. My ophthalmologist was baffled, but I knew what had changed — my body had finally been allowed to heal itself.
That experience changed my life. I realized chiropractic wasn’t just about pain relief but about restoring the body’s God-designed potential. I thought, if chiropractic could do this for me, what could it do for everyone else?
Soon after, I moved to Georgia to attend Life University, where I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic and met my amazing wife, Dr. Amanda Hess. Together, we founded Discover Chiropractic in Stockbridge, Georgia, which has grown into one of the most impactful chiropractic offices in the nation. Today, we are honored to co-lead the practice alongside Dr. Chandler Cook and Samantha Cook, serving families and inspiring thousands through the message of Above Down Inside Out principled chiropractic care.
